INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION
By applying different oxidising agents it is possible to make many different patinas: GREY, COGNAC, HONEY, and more, on tannic woods, on oak, on red oaks and American white oaks...
It gives the wood an "aged by time" look by genuine, natural oxidation.
With an infinite range of finishes available to all
For parquet flooring, furniture, architraves, door casings, frames, etc. This treatment can be applied to new or old wood so long as it has not been varnished, stained or waxed. Trial applications are needed before applying to the workpiece, to master the technique for applying these products and achieving the desired result.
The wood must be sanded to remove all traces of machining or it can be "aged" by sanding it unevenly or by brushing it with an abrasive nylon brush, which will remove the softer grain. Wood must be dry and dust free. Raw machined wood will react by acquiring a different patina. It is important to note that this treatment does not oxidise WHITE WILLOW.
The product must be applied at a temperature between 18° to 20°C (the wood, the product and the ambient temperature). Lower or higher temperatures change the colours obtained.
For industrial production, a constant temperature will ensure consistent colour.
Do not apply in direct sunlight. These products may be applied using (foam) roller machines, or for best results, using spraying machines, applying an even, generous coat. Use a soft brush very lightly to even the finish after machine application of product.
Apply Greying Agent 0842 in even, generous coats.
Natural drying time: 1 to 3 hours at ambient temperature.
Apply Evening Agent 0844 in even, generous coats. 0844 may be diluted with water or a second undiluted coat may be applied. The results will be different.
Natural drying time: 12 to 72 hours, as there is a development and "maturing" of the patina. Then rinse with water and dry.
Drying and "maturing" times are indicative. Wood prepared in this way is now ready for a finishing treatment.
Greying Agent 0842 - Natural drying. Time: 2 to 6 hours
Evening Agent 0844 - Natural drying and maturing. Time: 12 to 72 hours or more
Ageing agent 0843 - Natural drying. Time: 12 to 72 hours or more
Rinse with water, natural drying and finishing.

IT MUST BE NOTED THAT FOR CERTAIN QUALITIES OF OAK AND TANNIC TIMBERS IT IS ALSO POSSIBLE, INSTEAD OF 0842, TO USE 0852, WHICH HAS A DIFFERENT CHEMICAL COMPOSITION AND WHICH WILL REACT IN THE SAME OR A SIMILAR WAY AS A STANDARD TIMBER TREATED WITH 0842 OR A NEW COLOUR, WHICH MIGHT BE OF INTEREST.
These different options are available:

I. Isolating base coat 0219, for grey parquets to be varnished using any water-based varnish, with no change to colours.
II. Matte water-based protective oil 0218. Invisible, it does not change the colours achieved by oxidisation and is not stained by water.
III. Satin finish water-based protective oil 0217. Does not change the colours achieved by oxidisation and gives the parquet a lustre. Will not be stained by water.
IV. Invisible matte water-based varnish 0220. Provides parquet with high performance protection.
